Third Annual “Tri-It” Freestyle Workshop for Triathletes
“TRI-IT” Freestyle Workshop. The class focuses on preparing less-experienced triathletes for the rigors of swim training and competition and was born from the success of the Canby Swim Club’s “Gator Grinder” Triathlon. The triathletes begin showing up at lap swims shortly after the new year. When they realize that swimming requires more than fitness, they begin to look for instruction…now we point them to the TRI-IT workshop.

2010 will mark the third offering of this popular class. It is not all about the swimming. For some it is about confidence…others camaraderie. Some people just need the structure of a class to make them get into the pool. The class focuses the class on stroke technique rather than conditioning. It’s about becoming more efficient, not necessarily faster in the water. We don’t want them to leave it all in the pool…they still have an hour of biking and running to follow. The formula has proven successful. Students often drop minutes from their overall time.

Registration begins January 12th at 8AM. For additional information please contact the Swim Center at 503-266-2761.

Lessons are on a first come, first serve basis.

Registration for lessons may be made at the swim center 8:00 AM - 5 PM or online at http://activenet11.active.com/canbyswimcenter/

We reserve the right to cancel or combine classes if there is not a full class compliment.
A waiting list is kept for sessions that are filled. If a spot should open, we will call people in the order listed to fill the class. If we are unable to contact someone, we will move on to the next person on the waiting list.
