| Duties and powers:
The committee shall be specifically responsible for,
but not limited to the following:
Developing and assessing, on a ongoing basis, the transportation
needs of the citizens of Canby.
Acting in an advisory capacity to the Transit Director in the coordination
of transit services.
Promoting and educating the public regarding acceptance and usage
of the transit system.
Promoting and educating the public regarding special problems associated
with the use of the transit system by youth, elderly and disabled
citizens. |

Transit Master Plan |
Canby Area Transit’s
Transit Master Plan process is winding down. During the process
there have been many exciting opportunities for the Canby Area
Transit staff to work with community organizations, citizens,
advisory committees, elected officials and planners to create
a transit plan that enhances the transit system and will result
in improved mobility for transit customers and meet the transportation
needs of the residents, visitor's, and business community of
the City of Canby.
A draft document will be presented at a public meeting in the
spring of 2010. The final document will be published as a chapter
of the City of Canby’s Transportation System Plan.
