Canby Public Transit Advisory Committee


The Transit Advisory Committee meets the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM in the City Hall Conference Room

Type of Appointment: By City Council upon recommendation of the Committee Chairperson and Council Liaison.
Number of Members: 7 members
Term Length: 3 years (term ends March 31)

Duties and powers:

The committee shall be specifically responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Developing and assessing, on a ongoing basis, the transportation needs of the citizens of Canby.

Acting in an advisory capacity to the Transit Director in the coordination of transit services.

Promoting and educating the public regarding acceptance and usage of the transit system.

Promoting and educating the public regarding special problems associated with the use of the transit system by youth, elderly and disabled citizens.
